Roll-off containers / 15 cubic yards

15-yard dumpster rental in Louisville.

The shortest roll-off we deliver — 16 feet of box for cleanouts, single-room tear-outs, and the dense loads that should never go in a big container. Call with the address and the debris and get the full quote in one conversation.

01 / THE BOX

What the 15-yard container carries.

Fifteen cubic yards of debris in the smallest footprint we place.

The 15-yard box measures 16 feet long, 7.5 feet wide, and 4.5 feet high on the outside. Those short sidewalls matter more than most people expect. You can lift a bag of plaster or a rolled carpet over a 4.5-foot rail all afternoon without wearing yourself out, so hand-loading stays practical from the first hour to the last.

This is the container we talk through for contained Louisville jobs: a basement or garage that has been collecting for years, a single bathroom or bedroom gutted to the studs, carpet and pad pulled from a few rooms, or the debris from replacing one run of fence. If the pile comes from one room or one corner of the property, fifteen yards usually holds it.

The 16-foot length is the other advantage. Our 20 and 30-yard containers both run 22 feet. On a short urban driveway in the Highlands or Germantown, those six feet decide whether the box sits fully on private property or hangs toward the sidewalk — and anything in the public right-of-way raises the Louisville permit question. A shorter box keeps more jobs entirely on your own pavement.

The first size we discuss for dense material

Concrete, brick, block, soil, sod, plaster, and tile are limited by weight long before they fill a container. A big box full of broken concrete cannot be lifted or hauled legally, which is why heavy debris gets matched with a smaller container, often at a reduced fill level. When you tell us the load is dense, the 15-yard box is where the conversation starts, and your quote states the accepted debris and the weight allowance in writing before delivery.

Yard debris is a different load in this county

One local rule changes how brush jobs get planned. Jefferson County bans yard waste from every landfill and solid waste facility in the county except compost operations, and bulk woody waste carries its own ban. Across the river, Indiana bans yard waste from landfills statewide. So a load of limbs and brush cannot ride along with your remodel debris — it has to travel as its own load to a facility that composts it. The WM Outer Loop facility that receives much of this metro's debris runs composting on site, so the material has a destination; it just needs to be declared before the box arrives. The full accepted-material rundown is on our what-goes-in page.

When fifteen yards is not enough

Size up when the debris crosses room boundaries. A whole-kitchen tear-out, an estate cleanout, or a deck removal fills the 20-yard container faster than most people guess, and bulky renovation loads belong in the 30-yard box. Swapping a full small box for a second delivery costs more time than starting with the right size, so describe everything going in the container — not just the first pile.

02 / FAQ

15-yard questions, answered.

The load and the driveway decide most of these.

Between two sizes?

Call (502) 237-7726Describe the debris and we size the box with you on the call.
Will a 15-yard dumpster fit on a narrow Louisville driveway?

The box itself is 16 feet long and 7.5 feet wide, so it takes less driveway than our larger containers. The truck still needs a straight, level approach with overhead clearance to set it down. Describe the driveway, the gate width, and anything hanging overhead when you call, and we will review the spot before delivery.

Can I fill a 15-yard dumpster with concrete, brick, or dirt?

Dense material is priced and limited by weight, not by how much space it takes up. A 15-yard box is the size we usually discuss for concrete, soil, plaster, and similar debris, often with a reduced fill level. Tell us the material up front so the quote states the accepted debris and the weight allowance that applies.

Can brush and yard waste go in the container?

Not as part of a mixed load. Jefferson County bans yard waste from every landfill in the county except compost facilities, and Indiana bans it from landfills statewide. A brush or limb load has to be planned as its own trip to the right facility. Tell us it is yard debris when you call and we will plan the load correctly.

When should I move up to the 20-yard box?

When the debris comes from more than one or two rooms, or when it includes bulky items like cabinets, doors, and furniture from a full cleanout. The 20-yard container adds six feet of floor length for roughly the same driveway footprint conversation. If you are between sizes, describe the job by phone and we will size it with you.
